Decided 2 leak "40. Wattage" a week early so sue me...LOL!!! I put it on twitter 4 #musicmonday & I'm releasing it on my blog for CD release tuesday's!!! Don't worry thow it'll still OFFICIALLY drop on www.datpiff.com on 02/02/10 aka #DeUceDoubleDay as scheduled & I'll be have'n da CD release party wit da Epitome Band at Pure Lounge & Restuarant in Waldorf, MD on Feb. 13th as well!!! I had 2 test da download out b4 it got 2 close to February MYSELF or it would've never got done...SMH!!! I figured might as well share it with da faithful few who see every lil' thing dat De-U.c.e. Double do...I THANK U!!! De-U.c.e.'s!!!

He directed & produced dis joint 4 himself by himself wit only da aide of his brother & computer progams...technology's a beautiful thing. He's da head honcho & head producer for Soganic Music. We 1st met when he produced a joint wit me & his artist & my nigga TrueBless called "Melodic Wings" bout a year back. Look forward 2 hearing alot more from dis MD emcee & Soganic Music in da very near future!!! In da words of da great Mambo Sauce..."we ain't goin' no where...welcome 2 DC!!!"

January's Diamond in the Rough
Dis is a new monthly on going addition 2 my blog dat I'm starting up dis year called diamond in da rough. Dis will always contain someone or something from any time frame that originated from DC, MD, or VA dat I deem fit 2 shine da spotlight upon 4 once a month. Dis month I choose da LP "Mission IsPossible" by da emcee TrueBless. Dis CD includes alot of bonus material such as photos & printed lyrics. ScholarMan's production keeps you thinking of DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, or a J. Dilla track while TrueBless is inspired stylistically & lyrically from emcees like KRS-One, Rakim, Nas, & Common. Most rappers only talk about da streets, but TrueBless raps about his personal feelings & life struggles of losing his mother at an early age & being a father. On "I'm So Thankful" he writes a dedication 2 his mom describing her death & how her passing has affected him mentally. Bless's LP goes deeper than wut alot of new emcees are offering out here now days.

This song is from my nigga 4 life...the one they call Blessed!!! He's one of the few people on this planet who knows our ancestor's past as good as I do, & another one of my daughter's many godfathers...lmao!!! My man TrueBless is the epitome of what it is to be a true emcee in every sense of the word. "Melodic Wings" is a joint we both colabed on wit da lyrics, while ScholarMan provided the production & engineering. Ever since we've recorded this joint together it's been one of our fan's favorite songs from us both respectively. This track is off of his latest solo offering called "Mission ISpossible" which is available for purchase on his website & myspace. He's a representer of Soganic Music...wut up ScholarMan!!! You can also find this song on the upcoming "De-U.c.e. Double Presents: 40. Watt The Mixtape" coming real real soon to a parking lot & street corner near you...ya digg!!!
