Q: What good E One Letter could you introduce yourself to our readers ?
A: Whats good man. I'm E one letter a hip hop artist from the D.c. area also known as the DMV which stands for D.c. Maryland, and Virginia
Q: So describe the music scene in Dc ?
A: The music seen in D.c. has really progressed in the last few years. This place use to be all about go go music. But now more and more people are really getting in to the hip hop. With WALE being a national artist it is starting to bring attention to the area.
Q: You ever thought about doin a GoGo song?
A: I actually have a go go song called drop and give me 50 on my mix tape called now or never which can be downloaded at datpiff.com the thing is if you are a artist from this area somewhere in your catalog you will probably have at least one or two songs that are go go inspired.
Q: What the meanin behind the name E One Letter?
A: The name was pretty simple and it was given to me by one of my cousins my nickname is already E so in a lot of my freestyles I would say E or oneletter i use to say its only oneletter its only one E my cousin was like man that it that who you are and i went with it.
Q: Who are some of the artist that inspired you musically growning up?
A: Man its so many I cant name the all but I will name a few because I was the jukebox network kid while kids were watching cartoons I was watching jukebox network to the point I memorized what the videos were as they wre requested on the screen lol. But man the artist that really influenced me growing up was Tupac, Scarface, Ugk, the whole Cash Money and Ruff Ryders movement. umm Nas Jay-z that's just a few I love when people have longevity in the game those are the most fluential people to me.
Q: For a person who hasn't heard your music how would you describe your style?
A: My style varies in terms of content and beat style I give street raps, story raps, club joints, songs for the women a little bit of everything except for maybe political rap. But overall my music is high energy and it kinda of motivates cause you can her the passion, hunger and the drive I have in my music. I'm not a character I'm me u know.
Q: So what are you working on now ?
A: Right now I have a few things I'm working on I have a single called earlobe that I'm about to start pushing I also have a street single about to hit the streets called the policly which I am planning to do a video for I'm also working on a new mixtape called no conscious and an ep that will be for sale you have to position yourself to be able to make a profit so the single and the ep will be available on itunes i plan to have he singles out in ready within the next couple of months with the mixtape and ep to follow
Q: Why do you think Dc is so under the radar for the Hip hop scene?
A: In my opinion D.c. has always been a place that supported artist outside the area but not the ones in the area that's one thing the other is d.c. has just really gotten in to hip hop in a major way in terms of artist the last few years it used to be all about go go but that is really changing now as we get a few more major artist we will start to be more known as a hip hop place. The talent is here is just about the people hearing it.
Q: What was your thoughts on the 'South" Vh1 hip hop honors? who would be your list?
A: I think its a great thing the south has brought a lot to the game for many years even before the whole Atl movement. On my list in terms of artist would be scarface and the ghetto boys, u.g.k. Luke, 8 ball & mjg. Artist like that who were around before the big movement came about who really pioneered it.
Q: Beside yourself who are you feelin right now ?
A: In terms of new artist I would have to say Drake is cool, J. cole, J electronica and Nipsy Hussle. Those are the ones I'm feelin
Q: What Beefs you?
A: Nothing really man except beef itself, I think its corny and played out. Competition is cool but all the extra stuff is stupid to me I feel like if your music cant speak for itself you really should not say much. I let my music speak for me cause at the end of the day that's what its about the music.

Tae: Who is DeUce Double?
D.D: De-U.c.e. Double is who I've become from grinding half of my life with De-U Records De-U creative entertainer DOUBLED!!!
Tae: Where are you from and how long have you been rapping, well, correction, how long have you been an artist?
D.D.: I'm from Fort Washington, Maryland or as I call it 40. Watt, Murdaland it's a town in PG county just south of DC. I've been rapping since I was small but I started getting more serious around 2000 when I got out of school.
Tae: What makes you stand out from the rest?
D.D.: I stand out from the rest because I produce, record, & mixdown most of my music myself so I create my own sound & nobody on planet Earth can be me. I rap my life plus I've sold 1,000's of CD's & been on the radio with no management, PR, agent, etc. I grind when others whine.
Tae: How would you describe your music style?
D.D.: My music style is undescribeable it's whatever I fell at that time when different elements of my music are created & the songs come together.
Tae: What do you think hip hop is missing?
D.D.: Hip-Hop is missing real people & quality music it's got the good rappers percieved as "underground" & the the old underground is the mainstream right now. Hip-Hop is missing the lesser of both evils & that's De-U Records & rappers from the DMV area in general.
Tae: Who are your top 5 artists?
D.D.: My top 5 all time artists are Pac, Big, JayZ, Scarface, UGK
Tae: What upcoming projects are you working on?
D.D.: I don't know what my next solo project is gonna be called but I just came out with my debut solo mixtape called De-U.c.e. Double "40. Wattage" on 2/2/10 so I'm still not done pushing that just yet. De-U Records as a whole are coming out with some new kids educational Hip-Hop products new CD's, DVD's, Concerts, etc. as well so stay tuned for those.

I checked on Vlad TV today as usual 2 see wut good 4 da 1st of May when I was pleasantly surprised 2 see my cousin E One Letter on there!!! Check out da forum on there 2 if U get a chance pimp'n. I jai had 2 take dat "new artist promotions" section hostage...lol!!! Da industry don't gotta let da DMV in da front door, da side, or even ba back cause regardless we gonna be bust'n out all ya windows...lol!!!

Meet My Future Baby Mama...
Introducing my future baby mama...lol!!! Sike naw...but seriously. She's starting 2 grow into something like da Mary J. Blidge of dis generation. Keyshia Cole is only on like her 3rd CD so far in her career but it sure don't seem like it. I'll admit she does make some simi-nigga bashin' music like "I Should've Cheated" but it's still done in her own tasteful way. Plus I give her a free pass on dat 1 cause she didn't know me yet so she damn right she should've cheated!!! She reminds of a female Neyo in how she can actually sing...lol!!! She appeals 2 da ghetto & hood folk yet still does it wit class. Plus her CD's make a good movie soundtrack while I'm film'n in da back seat of da whip...ya digg!!! If U like her music...BUY IT!!! E One Letter - What's a "Go Get It Boy"???
Ok...It's official now!!! I think this blog stuff is starting to take on a life of it's own!!! This is the fist blog post I ever did about us that I got from off of another website. At first I just made this blog for something extra to do that promoted De-U Records on the internet. The next thing you know bloggers were stealing the posts off this joint & using them for a story on their page...ask Dime$. Apparently I'm a journalist too & didn't even know it yet...lol!!! Earlier this mourning when I checked my e-mail I was informed that I've been selected to be a blog writter for a new website called dmvhustlers.com!!! Make sure you go & check out they're site & don't forget to join it!!! I think you guys will like the write ups they do...man I swear their blog writters are geniouses or something...lol!!!
